Someone said to me that, These Sharia Councils are nothing but money making scams, but I approached these brothers and told them my situation, send them my details and they did the whole process free for me because I was genuinely broke and my benefits were not going to come through for at least 8 weeks.

We have had several issues throughout our marriage and this council has assisted many times, but they did guide us really well, gave us some excercises to do together which amazingly did work very well Allhamdulillah, cannot recommend them enough

Sent them an email, a sheikh called me back within an hour, gave me clear concise advise, explained everything in details and to both me and my husband clearly Allhamdulilla, I am so grateful for the Sharia Council to help in this way

I spoke to the Sharia Council and they arranged a mutually convenient meeting between us all and went through the Quran and Sunnah to show us what each other’s rights are, explained to us in detail on how we should mutually respect each other and deal with conflicts.

They were very calm and very knowledged May God Almighty bless them

I was forced to marry abroad and when i returned back to the UK, The Sharia Council helped me to attain the Islamic Divorce but also guided me on how to approach the authorities and have the marriage annulled abroad too.

My ex-husband was a bully and very influential and used that to abuse me for over 15 years, no mosque would entertain my khula application, one imam even forced me to go through a meeting, even after I told him that there is a court order. This Council helped to get out of this abusive relationship, I pray for them every day

We do receive complaints from time to time from respondents claiming we do not have any authority, to be very honest, we do not have any authority in the UK legally on any aspect of the Law, we urge everyone to seek legal advice for that, but the fact is that your nikah, talaq, khula or faskh are not recognised in the UK as legally binding either so an imam can conduct your nikah, talaq, faskh and or khula too but only in a religious capacity which has nothing to do with British law, therefore if you have an Islamic nikah then it is within our remit

I spoke to the Sharia Council and explained to them that my Wife applied for Talaq without even informing me, they went through each and every stage of the process of talaq and explained every step in so much detail that it helped immensely

These are the kind of Scholars we need to be honest,, I have a lot of respect for the way they do and manage to handle all the complaints and stressful queries on daily basis from very distressed people throughout the country

I spoke to the Sharia Council in detail and they made me understand the process from start to finish, even if the husband keeps claiming he never received the notices the faskh will still go through, when i told my husband that I am receiving them and you are copied into the same email, how is that you can claim you never received them, I then sent them to him but he then wanted the Sharia Council to send it to him by whats app followed by a phone call. We worked out that he was just playing games and was constantly lying to us, the faskh was issued after 3 months and I blocked all communication with the respondent.

I gave Talaq to my wife but the Sharia Council state that its not the correct procedure, I have read through the detailed article on talaq and i was stunned to find that their process of talaq is brilliantly explained, a massive learning curve for me and my whole family

Jazakh Allah Khairun for leaving us a negative review while we feel that people should leave their honest review after they have experienced the service with us, we do however feel had you asked us the questions before leaving such a review we could have explained to you, that we are registered as a not for Profit organisation not as a charity becuase our services do not fall under charitable requirements, secondly our esteemed scholars requested their details to be removed from the website in 2019 after being assaulted physically by one of the respondents, therefore we will not be sharing the details of scholars against their wishes. We clearly disclose this information on our website and this does give people the opportunity to either use the service or not.

We request that you kindly remove the review as its misleading and has information in it which is false.

He accused them of being FAKE and said he does not recognise they have any authority to dissolve the nikah, this is quite concerning that some people have these views, they can keep the wives in nikah against their wishes and torture them in the relationship, nit give them their rights but still maintain they have the overall authority, This is NOT Islam and these draconian people belong in the caves and not claim they are upstanding Muslims, when clearly their actions state otherwise. During the most stressful period of my life The sharia council support and guidance was above and beyond. Very efficient, always got back to me within afew hours. Very grateful. If you are unfortunate and need this service I highly recommend you use this council.

My family called other scholars and the scholars said there is NO such thing as a khula for the wife in Islam, so I need to work harder to keep my husband, i found this unrealistic and un-Islamic, the more I studied Islam the more I realised that majority of todays “Scholars” are NOT actually Scholars at all. This Sharia Council helped me understand that I can exit the Nikah should I wish to do so as no one can force me to stay in the marriage without my consent

The stress this man gave me, he constantly abused me and emailed the Sharia Council with threats and demands, they remained very calm and dissolved my nikah using the faskh method, the husband didn’t agree and still doesn’t accept it, he just wanted to keep me in his nikah as a prisoner even though we had been separated for over 2 years, Using Talaq as a weapon is NOT permissible is what I have learnt through this process, and if the men gave the Talaq when they agree that the marriage has become irreconcilable and amicably in the kindest manner as soon as possible, but as u can imagine that is NOT what happens in todays society

Today I seen this and though Allah Hu Akbar thank Allah SWT for allowing me to be released from my marraige, he went to so many Sharia Councils and they all didnt listen to me and he had me held almost as a prisner for many years now finally even big Muftis have started to accept that a woman has the right to walk away even if the husband does not agree to it. The Sharia Council was very convenient for me as all matters were handled online, which meant the divorce could be handled without having to physically attend anywhere. I found the service to be highly respectful and professional. They took the time to clearly explain the entire process, along with the Islamic evidence supporting their approach. Unlike several other Sharia councils I contacted…who either couldn’t provide Islamic justification for their procedures or came across as dismissive, particularly because I was a woman seeking a Khulla, but this service treated me with dignity throughout. SubhanAllah the support that I have received from the brother has been tremendous. He kept me up to date with all communications and ensured all notices were sent out on time. After applying previously to a shariah council that refused to grant me my rightful haq of freedom I searched for an alternative. This was the best decision I could have made and I am upset that I didn’t come across this council sooner.

They were extremely professional in their conduct and unlike my previous experience didn’t ask intrusive questions or bring into the case anything irrelevant or subjective. This council dealt with the case on factual matters and saw right through the deception and marriage based on lies & betrayal.

They treated me with respect throughout and not once made me feel inferior due to me being a woman like the others did, they did not patronise or humiliated me either and swiftly dealt with my khullah request for annulment within the suggested 3 months time frame.

Alhamdulilah I am now free from an oppressive marriage and cannot thank brother N for his excellent mannerisms and professionalism throughout.

I will recommend this place with my eyes closed to any sister out there that has been wronged by another organisation and is struggling to get her freedom.
